Whether you just moved to the area and are in need of a place to board your horse, or you are traveling through Kentucky and need a place to overnight board, then you are in luck. We here at the Double R Stables have over 40 years of experience working with horses so you can feel at ease leaving your equine friend with us.

Located in the rural part of Elizabethtown, we offer a quiet setting yet we are close to several hotels and restaurants. Mammoth Cave National Park and Cumberland Lake are only a few miles away and offer several picturesque trails to ride on.

For the overnight boarders we offer 10 X 20 foot stalls, fresh shavings or straw, hay, grain and water for only $20.00 per night per horse. We have electrical hook-up available for your camper or RV, or if you choose to go back to town for a hotel you can leave your trailer parked here for the night at no extra cost.

Long-term boards include feed twice a day, hay in the winter or in drought conditions, quarterly worming and a large pasture with a turn out stall. All this for only $175.00 per month.  If you would like your horse put in a stall each night the monthly fee is $275.00 as we need to cover our costs for bedding and the time to clean the stalls each day.  We also have for your use a competition size riding arena, a 60' round pen and a 20' round pen. Each boarder gets a locker in our tack room that has a saddle rack, bridal hooks and a shelf to store items on.

We also provide Local Horse Transport and Hauling.
